Publish

The Publish button opens a "Choose publish destination" modal with two independent checkboxes — Development and Production — so you can deploy either or both in one click with "Publish to selected."

Development is a real build for previewing changes before they're public; Production is the real, live deploy. Both run a genuine Astro build rather than a quick approximation, so what you see in either is what visitors would actually get.

Both destinations deploy in the background and the page polls for status every 3 seconds — no need to keep the tab focused or refresh manually to see when it's done.

Every publish builds your site with the current version of the Zitegen platform, so you never have to migrate anything or opt in to improvements — you get them on your next publish. What's already deployed keeps the shape it was built with until then, which is why a publish that moves your site onto a newer platform version confirms it with "Site upgraded to the latest platform version." Development and Production both count, and your very first publish doesn't show it — there's no earlier version to have come from.
