Changelog

New features, improvements, and fixes — the latest from Zitegen.

2026
  1. New

Sync form submissions to WordPress (Fluent Forms)

A form can now relay every submission into a connected WordPress site's Fluent Forms plugin, in addition to your Leads tab — pick the connection and remote form, map fields, and send a test entry before saving. Discovery and submission errors name the actual cause (a WordPress permission gap, a field's own validation) instead of a bare status code.

  2. Improved

See which form is which in the Layers tree

A <form> element's row in the canvas editor's Layers tree now shows the form's own name alongside where its submissions go, e.g. "Contact Form · Zitegen + WordPress" — useful once a site has more than one form.

Know when your site gets platform improvements

Every publish rebuilds your site on the current version of the Zitegen platform. When a publish moves your site onto a newer one, the editor now confirms it with "Site upgraded to the latest platform version" — so improvements to the generated output stop being invisible. Development and Production publishes both count.

  1. New

    WordPress grids paginate and filter

A grid bound to a WordPress connection now supports the same visitor-facing pagination (numbered pages, load more, infinite scroll) and filter bars as a Filterable Collection of Zitegen's own content — filter fields use the same {{dot.path}} names as the card's placeholders.

    WordPress
  2. Fixed

    Dynamic collections keep their cards

Flipping to another page or changing a filter on a dynamic-mode collection could clear the grid entirely on the published site instead of showing the fetched results. Page flips, filters, and the page count now behave correctly.

  3. Fixed

Development preview URL always shows the latest build

A site's preview-*.zitegen.app domain could get stuck serving an old Development build no matter how many rebuilds ran. It now always follows the most recent preview build.

  1. Fixed

Sites, domains, and billing numbers stay current

A new site, a newly connected domain, or updated credit/site usage could keep showing old numbers on the Sites, Domains, or Billing pages until you refreshed. They now always reflect what's actually there.

Manage detail-page templates from an AI agent

The new manage_templates MCP tool lets Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client list, create, and edit a content type's detail-page templates directly — the same variant lifecycle and layout editing the dashboard's Templates panel offers.

  2. New

    AI chat understands detail-page templates

Ask the chat panel, the single-element AI editor, or an MCP agent via ai_prompt to change a detail-page template, and it now knows the difference between a live data binding and ordinary text — so a vague instruction won't accidentally break every entry of that type.

2026
  1. New

    Editable detail-page templates

Blog posts and content-type entries now render through a real, canvas-editable template — style the layout once, bind it to fields like title and body, and every entry inherits it, instead of a fixed built-in design.

    Content Types
  2. New

    Multiple template variants, including per-locale

Save several template layouts per content type and switch which one is live with a click, or give a translated audience an entirely different layout — not just translated text — with an automatic fallback when no locale-specific version exists.

  3. Improved

Blog posts now publish at the site root

An individual blog post's URL is now yoursite.com/post-slug instead of yoursite.com/blog/post-slug, matching how custom content types already work.

Read leads from an AI agent

The list_leads MCP tool gives Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client the same access to your site's form submissions as the dashboard's Leads tab — alongside a new guide covering how form capture works.
