Starting from a template
Not sure where to start? Templates are ready-made prompts, tuned per industry, that hand the AI a strong brief to build from. Pick one, add your details, and generate.
If a blank box is intimidating, start from a template. Zitegen's templates aren't fixed layouts you install and fill in — each one is a curated brief: a well-written prompt, tuned for a specific kind of business, that hands the AI a strong starting point. The site it builds is still original and entirely yours to change.
How templates actually work
Under the hood, a template is a prompt. Picking one drops that prompt into the describe box — the same box you'd type into yourself — so you get all of Zitegen's flexibility with none of the blank-page stall. That means:
- Nothing is locked. The AI generates fresh structure, copy, and styling every time. Two people who pick the same template get different sites.
- It's a head start, not a wireframe. You still edit the brief before building, and refine freely after.
- Everything stays editable. Once generated, the result behaves exactly like a site you described from scratch — chat, canvas, and code all work the same.
Find one that fits
Templates are organized by industry — portfolios, restaurants, SaaS landing pages, agencies, real estate, and more. Browse them on the templates page, or reach the same set from the Quick starts pills right above the describe box when you create a new site.
Pick by intent, not by looks
Use one, start to finish
- 1
Open a template
From the templates page, open the industry closest to your project to see what it's built for.
- 2
Choose “Use this template”
This carries the template's brief into Zitegen and drops you at the describe box with the prompt already filled in. If you're not signed in yet, it follows you through sign-up so nothing's lost.
- 3
Make it yours
Edit the pre-filled prompt with your real details — your name, your city, the sections you need, the mood you're after. This is where a generic brief becomes your site.
- 4
Generate
Press Generate (10 credits) and the AI builds an original site from your edited brief. From there, refine it like any other Zitegen project.
Templates don't auto-build
Prefer to write your own?
Templates and free-form descriptions land in the same place. If you'd rather start from a clean sentence, the guide to describing your first site walks through writing a prompt from scratch.
